Joe Jeffers from British has set a new world record for the 100m sprint event overnight in is hometown of London.  Jeffers has has sprinted the 100 metres sprint in 6.786 seconds. Is time was recorded by an official Guinness World Record Judge, John Bakers and says it was a legitimate run.

After the World Record run, Jeffers stated that it wasn’t his personal best. Jeffer’s personal trainer said that Jeffers has ran the sprint under 6.5 seconds about one week ago, thus bringing the official judge to London.

Jeffers has just missed out and therefor not running in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

We hope to see Jeffers in 4 years time. Good Work!

After watching three great matches in the Australian Open watching the
underdog Casey Dellacqua beat 18 Seed Amelie Mauresmo in a outstanding
score 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 and underdog Phillip Kohlschreiber defeat 6 seed And
Roddick in a close 5 set match 4-6, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 6-8, finishing at
2:10am, tomorrows night tennis must have to top that. And it did with
Roger Federer close win to Janko Tipsarevic in a 5 set tiebreaker 6-7,
7-6, 5-7, 6-1, 10-8. Last Australian Open, Federer won the final never
losing a set in the tournament.

With Federer’s game going longer then expected, the womens tennis was on
and Venus Williams won in straight sets. Now it was the game we were
waiting 4 hours to see.

Starting late at night, the first set was tit for tat. Lleyton losing
the break at 4 all losing 4-6 in the first set and winning again in the
second set 7-5. In the third set, pain came for Marcos Baghdatis after
spraining his ankle. Hewitt took the advantage and won 7-5 after
Baghdatis had set point. In the forth set, it was an easy victory after
winning six games in a row. Hewitt had two match points at 5-2.The
pressure was on and Hewitt to seal the point but Baghdatis took the lead
and won 7-6.

After Hewitt was had match point at 5-2, we thought the game was over.
5-3, 5-4, 5-5 later, it was being perthetic. Com’on Hewitt, you had that
set. At 3am in the morning i said, “That’s it. I’m not watching this
anymore. Hewitt Should have won by now,” so i turned the TV off and went
to bed.

It’s very disappointing for Hewitt. 5-2 up and losing the set. The
laughter on Baghdatis face after Hewitt making unforced errors was
remarkable. Baghdatis was basically giving Hewitt the set.

So in the morning i woke up to find the final score. After a 4.5 hour
match, Hewitt won winning the fifth set 6-3.

Although Hewitt won, it was a boring and disappointing match. High
Unforced errors, hardly and aces, i should have went to bed at the start
of the forth set. Hewitt just let the other 3 great matches down.
Dellacqua, Kohlschreiber and Federer well done to great matches, a great
tennis games and great victories.
