There are many free online storage options out their, but you have to put up with the advertisements, logging in and uploading and downloading files can get a bit of a pain to do. Their isn’t a drag and drop facility and if lucky, you can sometimes can get that feature when you pay for online storage.

Windows Sky Drive provides you with 5 Gb of free online storage. By itself, it is pretty good. The only downside is that you have to manually upload/download files. But incorporating Gladinet, the files will appear like it is a local file on your computer, which is a huge bonus and selling feature.

Gladinet is a 10mb file that you download and install on your computer. Gladinet is still in BETA mode and was started mid this year (2008). You then can setup to use Windows Sky Drive and access documents through windows explorer, opening, editing, delete, creating files as you wish. But Gladinet doesn’t stop their. You can also use Google Docs, Google Picasa and Amazon S3. It can also be used as remote computer access and file sharing.
